What is Yoga?

 

Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning to yoke or to unite. It is a combination of physical
practice (poses), breathing, and concentration (which leads to meditation). Practicing
yoga happens when you bring your body and mind together and become present in the moment.
A little yogi is a young person practicing yoga.​

I'm Little Yogi: Yoga for Children

 

Follow along with your little one through some fundamental yoga poses. Stretch and strengthen your child’s mind and body while having fun and exploring together.

A great book for mothers, fathers, caregivers and children.  Awesome way to share yoga and reading.  Toronto Author Jennifer Amor wrote this book so that children can receive the powerful benefits of yoga.

Jennifer Amor is a Registered Yoga Teacher and has experience working as a preschool instructor for over ten years. The greatest lesson she learned from observing children day-to-day is that they are natural yogis, they are present in the moment and they keep things simple.  Jennifer's intention when she wrote I'm a Little Yogi was to make reading and exercising fun, playful and educational. She teaches yoga in Toronto and is the founder of Amor Healthy Lifestyle.
